Sunday February 1st
Join us February 1st from 4pm-7pm. Matt VanFossen will perform live at Talk Shop Lounge. No cover charge.
Making music that comes from the heart and touches the soul...that's what Matt VanFossen does best.
Matt VanFossen is not your average cookie-cutter country artist. He is real, he is honest, and he is true to the music he loves. Through his personal tragedy and triumphs, music has always been there, and his powerful and heartfelt vocals grab you from the first note.
His latest single is no exception. Produced by Mike Ofca, “Where You Gonna Run to Now“ is a song that talks about running from your problems. The lyrics, “When you run out of roads, run out of reasons, run out of luck and lies to believe in, Where You Gonna Run to Now?”, are powerful and relatable to all. It's about letting go; knowing that you deserve better, and finding that strength to leave the past behind. Everyone has that certain someone in their lives that they'd like to say, ”you missed your chance... you lost the best thing that ever happened to you."
Born of One-Nighters Starting out, the idea of living the road band life was the last thing on Matt's mind. After doing all the local gigs, and the same venues over and over, it became apparent that the only way for Matt and his bandmates to evolve was to hit the road. Over the next five years, the band logged thousands of gigs — with the occasional festival appearance — in cities across the country. Their time on the road proved crucial in shaping Matt's sound, as he saw the people who listened to his music - their lives, their friends, their stories.

The Filthy Heathens came together during the chaos of the pandemic, sparked by the chemistry between Bronson Hetzer, Ryan Palcic, and “Captain” Craig Bishop. Things got serious fast with the addition of guitarists Cody Doench and Dawson Stepp. With five members locked in, the band took off. From Southern grit to alt-edge, classic country to hard rock, their sound defies easy classification. It's rich, raw, and rooted in something deeper than genre. This is music you can’t quite label — and that’s the point. Inspired by legends like Skynyrd and Waylon, with a nod to modern acts like Blackberry Smoke and The Steel Woods, their songs are raw, road-tested, and built to be felt. Known for high-octane live shows and a growing regional fanbase, The Filthy Heathens are hitting stages across the country with a packed tour schedule and festival season. One gig at a time, they’re building something real — and it’s catching on. Live, The Filthy Heathens go full-throttle — and so do their crowds. They love to put on a show and bring a room to life. Every performance is a shot of energy designed to pull you away from your phone — and everything else going on in the world. Their debut EP Etheridge dropped May 2025, led by the singles “Tupelo Sun” and “Devils Like Me.” The fuse is lit — and they’re just getting started.

Clarence Tilton, the Omaha-based band known for its sharp storytelling and harmonies to match announces the release of their latest album, Queen of the Brawl. The record features collaborations with country icon Marty Stuart and Presley Tucker (bandmate and daughter of the legendary Tanya Tucker). It weaves together personal history, road-worn experiences, and a love of place into a collection of songs that “blends alt-country grit, rich, melodic hooks, and evocative.” (The Country Note) Recorded at ARC Studios in Omaha (a staple for Midwest Americana and indie artists), Queen of the Brawl captures Clarence Tilton’s ability to balance raw musicianship with evocative storytelling. The album weaves together heartland imagery, the resilience of small-town life, and the weight of history, all wrapped in the band’s signature harmonies and lived-in sound. This record is as much about feeling at home as it is about being on the move. The five-piece band features brothers Chris Weber (guitar and vocals) and Corey Weber (guitar, vocals and pedal steel) who grew up in a small town (1,000 people, 10,000 cows), learning guitar on borrowed instruments and bonding over influences like Flying Burrito Brothers, James Gang, and George Jones. The band also features Craig Meier (bass), Paul Novak (guitar and vocals) and Jarron Wayne Storm (drums, percussion and vocals). Their music, rooted in family legacy and small-town life, balances raw alt-country grit with rich, melodic hooks.
